A journey full of highlights
18 days of crossing, 5 crew members, 1645 nautical miles sailed for an average speed of 3.9 knots... One can imagine that a lot has happened on board our laboratory vessel since her departure from Malaysia!
This crossing was marked by several highlights, including the vessel's passage near the coasts of Sri Lanka and the visit of dolphins in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Our laboratory vessel also broke its record of 50 000 MN sailed since the beginning of our Odyssey: an emotional moment for our crew!
Green hydrogen at the heart of our stopover in India
On the occasion of Energy Observer's stopover, the Energy Management Centre (EMC), the state-designated agency to enforce the energy conservation act in Kerala, organized a special event: "Green hydrogen pathways to sustainable future."
Victorien Erussard, our Founder and Captain, had the pleasure to set off this successful event which gathered several hundreds of participants during a 3-days workshop. All steps of hydrogen's value chain, from production to storage and its various applications on land and at sea, were discussed.
Considerable visits on board
Mrs Lise Talbot Barré, Consul General of France, paid a visit to Energy Observer, laboratory vessel, energy sufficient sailing without harming the planet, laid at anchor in Bolgatty Marina, Kochi.
