Drinking water production on board Energy Observer

While our boat continues to sail without being able to touch land, the crew ran out of drinking water and had to find solutions to hydrate themselves with the means on board. The result: drinking water produced from desalinated seawater via the desalination system of our hydrogen production line, then re-mineralized in order to be fit for consumption.

A very symbolic achievement in the wake of the #WorldWaterDay, which reminds us that our boat is not only the demonstration of a new energy and technological model, but also a laboratory of ideas, based on autonomy and resilience, which finds even more meaning in the current context.
